Polaris 3D, which participated in RoboWorld 2024, was awarded the Innovation Day Grand Prize.
Through a variety of robot demonstrations, Polaris 3D achieved its highest results, securing both domestic and international buyers.

Polaris3D, which participated in the largest domestic robot exhibition, 'RoboWorld 2024,' held from October 23 to 26, announced that it achieved significant success by securing both domestic and international buyers, including those from the United States and Brazil, through a series of robot demonstrations. In addition, the company was awarded the prestigious Innovation Day Grand Prize, marking its highest accomplishment at the event.

Now in its 19th year, RoboWorld is hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, with the Korea Robot Business Association and Korea Robot Industry Promotion Agency serving as organizers. This year’s event was the largest ever, with 291 companies and organizations participating in a total of 880 booths.

At this year’s event, Polaris 3D showcased its logistics robot, which is currently being supplied to Samsung Electronics. The robot demonstrated its precision by docking with a conveyor system within a 3cm margin and loading small materials. Polaris 3D demonstrated fully unmanned factory automation technology through continuous logistics transfer operations via an automatic charging docking system and its self-developed robot control system. The company’s technological capabilities have been recognized, leading to exports to Samsung Electronics’ global subsidiaries, with expectations for further global expansion in logistics automation.

Polaris 3D stated that, by integrating sensor installation, hardware design, and software implementation, it met Samsung Electronics' safety standards, prioritizing safety in industrial environments.

The AI delivery robot, capable of freely moving between floors through wireless integration with elevators, attracted the attention of numerous stakeholders from hotels and hospitals. A barista (coffee) robot developed ahead of RoboWorld, featuring seamless integration with QR order systems for easy ordering and robotic delivery, captured the attention of both industry professionals and general attendees.

Polaris 3D’s robotic delivery service is currently in use at Suseong Hotel in Daegu and Yonsei Cancer Center. In the first half of next year, the company plans to conduct PoC (Proof of Concept) trials with hotels in the Seoul metropolitan area to gather various data for market feasibility analysis.

In the serving robot zone, Polaris 3D unveiled a new “step-aside” feature of Ereon 2 as part of its commitment to developing human-centered robots. Conventional serving robots were often unable to avoid people in confined spaces, such as dead-end hallways, coming to a complete stop and requiring people to step aside. However, the newly updated Ereon 2 addresses this issue with an AI-powered camera system capable of facial recognition. It proactively identifies available space and moves out of the way, minimizing disruption to human movement.

Inbeom Kwak, CEO of Polaris 3D, stated, “By expanding public awareness and revenue through our serving and delivery robots powered by autonomous driving and robot control technologies, we have successfully demonstrated the technical value of our logistics robots.”

“By consistently advancing our technology and showcasing strong growth potential, we were honored to receive the top prize at Innovation Day,” he added. “We aim to grow into a unicorn company through the development of human-centered robotics technologies, including MaaS (Mobility as a Service).”
